Six questions. What does the output include: CPT code, place of service, provider NPI and a dollar figure? What share of verifications end in a phone call, and which way is that moving? What does accuracy mean: transaction, field or estimate? How are low-confidence cases handled? Can you apply my fee schedules? Do you publish pricing?
Then run a pilot on twenty to fifty real patients and compare the outputs to the EOBs when they arrive. Every vendor confident in its accuracy will agree to that; a vendor that wants to pilot on sample data is telling you its real-patient accuracy is not the number on the website.
